We are happy to inform you that the Gummkonda Reddy Foundation has created the initiative #GivinHope, where the main purpose is to help struggling comminutes during the COVID-19 quarantine in South Florida.
As COVID-19 numbers continue to rise, it has created a deep impact in the local economy and has left most of our cities in South Florida un-employed and with fear of outdoors living, treating our senior citizens as they are the most vulnerable people of this pandemic. At Gummakonda Reddy Foundation we created a fund to help our veterans and senior citizens to get groceries at no charge at their homes using safe ways such as Amazon Fresh and Target Direct with no contact necessary. With the database and collaboration of 211-Miami, Jewish Community service of South Florida, Fabiola Angulo & Adriana Cataño and their Latin initiative “Team Humanitarian”, this initiative have been able to deliver to more than 50 families in South Florida.
Our main purpose is to help those seniors and veterans that are lonely and have no economic resources to receive food and groceries at their door making it easier to go through the weeks ahead.
These are some of the pictures our neighbours had shared with us. Thank you to all donors that through the years have believed in our work and support it.
