The main objective of the Ekal on Wheel is to generate computer awareness, enhance digital literacy and to make the facility available at the doorstep to encourage people to overcome their inhibitions and accept it open-mindedly. As Gummakonda Foundation has always believed in the power of education, we believe in this project as much.

A mobile van transformed into a computer lab with all required amenities to enhance digital literacy and encourage the people living in remote and tribal villages to have first-hand exposure to the computer. The van has 15 working terminals with pre-installed self-learning software. It can accommodate 15-20 students at a time. One dedicated trainer, assisted by local Ekal teacher provides training for two and a half hours in one village.
